The book I read this summer was called Story of a Girl was about a girl named Deanna was caught with a boy in the backseat of his car by her father, her reputation was ruined because he was four years older than her, and her brothers friend. I chose this book because when I read the title, and summary it sounded interesting, it seemed a lot more related to high school and me, than any of the other books.
I disliked the book for only one reason, it started at a weird place, I never got a full explanation of what happened. I really enjoyed it because the author wrote it really nicely, she made it a book for a teenager, not set up as an adult or a series based book. My book dealt with a freshman who made a stupid decision with a boy who had graduated. It talks about her struggles, such as her getting a job and him working there. No one fully understood where she stood, or how she felt. Only her brother, who was in struggles as well, and her best friend Jason.

My book is similar to Black and White, and Whale Talk. They both include relationship issues, in my
book it is with Deanna and her father. In Whale Talk, a father abuses his wife and kids, and the little girl was hiding with another friend to get away from her abusive family.  Lastly, it is similar to Black and White because these two guys work together to pay for their basketball stuff, they rob people with their grandfathers gun. The boy ends up shooting someone, he eventually tells the police. The boys got caught, and were punished with charges.
